INTRODUCING

Leaving

Your Legacy

Capturing Mothers with their Daughters and the Love that Binds them.

Untitled (600 x 600 px) (1)_edited.jpg

Time Moves Fast—But Portraits Pause It

Your daughter won’t always be this age. And neither will you. (We know, rude.) But a legacy portrait session captures you both right now, exactly as you are. It freezes this chapter so you can revisit it again and again—even when life has moved on.

FUTURE YOU WILL BE SO GLAD YOU DID

Turning Love Into Art

A legacy portrait session is a customized, intimate photoshoot that celebrates you—your journey, your strength, your softness, your legacy.

Whether you book a mother-daughter photoshoot, a generational session with grandma, or a solo legacy shoot to honor a milestone, the goal is the same:

To capture the real, radiant, resilient woman you are right now.

You’ll walk away with portraits that future generations will hold dear.

You deserve a thoughtful moment when you step in front of the camera with the people you love most

Your most cherished memories deserve a place in your home, not just your phone

These intentional and beautiful photos will live on, for future generations to reflect on and enjoy

How Mothers Feel About Their Leaving Your Legacy Session

Honoring My Mother
Through Leaving Your Legacy

In October of 2024 I lost my Momma to a short 7 month battle with cancer. It was unexpected, shocking, and took us all by surprise. Both of my grandmothers are 95 years old, and have zero health issues. In my mind, my Mom was on the same path.

I guess that's how we all think in some way. We know that life is short, but it isn’t always a reality for you, until you experience a great loss.

As I prepared for her celebration of life and started digging to find portraits of her, I was struck by a realization. The only professional portraits I had of my Momma and me were from 7 years ago when I forced her to do a 3-generation photoshoot with my oldest daughter and myself.

Looking back now, I'm SO thankful I made us do this, and I'm equally as mad at myself for not finding the time to do it again after my 2nd was born.

To begin healing after her death I found myself diving into my work, asking the question "how I can take this great loss, and use it for good?"

Each time my mind always found its way back to our portrait together, my most cherished possession now. I knew that's what I needed to do. I needed to create a space where Mothers & Daughters could come together to leave their legacy. A space where I can both honor my Mothers Legacy and share the joy & kindness with others she always brought to the world.

Leaving Your Legacy is my way of honoring my mother.

Hi I’m Geni,

I’ve been a portrait photographer for over 16 years, but my love for photography started long before that. When I was 8 years old, I would dress up my sisters, do their hair, and create little “sets” in our living room using my mom’s houseplants. We joke about it now, that I am literally living out my 8 year old dream every day! For the past 13 years, I’ve had the honor of helping high school senior girls feel seen, celebrated, and confident in front of the camera. That work has brought me so much joy—but after losing my Mom in 2024, my purpose began to shift. Thru the process of learning how to grieve, I turned to my art. I asked myself how I could use this loss to create something meaningful, not only for myself but for others. That’s when Leaving Your Legacy was born—a portrait experience dedicated to honoring the powerful bond between mothers and daughters. Today, I pour my heart into creating images that are more than just portraits. They’re love, connection, and legacy—preserved for generations to come.

Because You Deserve to Exist in Photos—Together

Don't rely on scattered phone pics to remember the way things were. You deserve to exist in photos that reflect the love, connection, and strength you share.
